IIM Udaipur's PhD Program is designed for students with strong academic credentials who aspire to become globally acclaimed scholars in their field. IIM Udaipur's PhD program is uniquely designed to shape future scholars. The program aligns with top business schools globally and aims to produce world-class researchers. IIM Udaipur PhD program spans five years, with full financial support. The initial two years focus on coursework, equipping you with research skills and knowledge. The subsequent three years are dedicated to conducting in-depth, rigorous research. You may also take on academic responsibilities throughout your journey. IIM Udaipur's emphasis on research is a key differentiator. Ranked 4th among all business schools in India for research excellence by the University of Texas Dallas (UTD), IIMU faculty is highly motivated to publish in globally reputed journals, and this commitment is extended to PhD students. As a PhD student at IIMU, you'll engage in practical research projects from the first year, gaining hands-on experience. You'll develop critical research skills, critique top-tier research, and build expertise in data collection and analysis tools.

IIMU will fund an international immersion for up to two students (merit-based) in a year—enabling them to spend four months at an esteemed university abroad. The program will cover travel costs, living expenses, medical insurance (actual) and contingencies for the period. This is a unique offering in IIMU that is not currently available at any other IIM.

There is no application fees to apply for IIM Udaipur PhD programme. A candidate can apply to only one PhD program. In the case where candidates submit multiple applications in more than one area, the application received on the latest date will be considered and the previous application/applications will be summarily rejected. Along with the completed application form, the following documents are mandatory:

• Class X Marks Sheet
• Class XII/Diploma Marks Sheet
• Bachelor's Mark Sheet
• Master's Mark Sheet (if applicable)
• Mark Sheet (Professional Course – CA/ICWA/CS) if applicable
• Curriculum Vitae
• Photo Id (Passport/PAN/Aadhar)
• Statement of Purpose

Candidates in the final year of the program or awaiting their results can upload the Mark Sheet of the previous term(s)/semester/year. Scanned copies of all academic mark sheets, certificates, qualifying examination score cards, category certificates, and research proposals must be uploaded, along with the online application form.
