Based on the performance of all candidates in the entrance test, KEA allocates Karnataka PGCET rank. Since exam for MBA and MCA is held in single shift and difficulty standards remain common for all test takers, KEA does not normalise Karnataka PGCET scores. Hence, Karnataka PGCET rank is directly correlated to the score.
KEA releases Karnataka PGCET merit lists for MBA and other courses. To allot merit position in the Karnataka PGCET merit list, KEA considers entrance test scores. Performance of the candidate in qualifying exam is not considered while preparing the PGCET merit list. However, candidates must score the minimum required percentage in the qualifying exam to be eligible for the Karnataka PGCET merit list preparation.
