What is AP ICET exam?

Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) is a state-level MBA and MCA entrance examination conducted for admission to colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. AP ICET is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). According to APSCHE, about 35,000 candidates appear for the exam. The computer-based test (CBT) is conducted in 25 districts across Andhra Pradesh in two slots. The scores of AP ICET is accepted by over 290 MBA and MCA colleges across Andhra Pradesh. According to AP ICET 2026 marking scheme, each of the 200 questions is awarded 1 mark for correct answer. No negative mark is awarded for a wrong answer.

The AP ICET 2026 exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions divided into three distinct sections. Analytical Ability carries the highest weightage with 75 questions, followed by Communication Ability with 70 questions and Mathematical Ability with 55 questions. Candidates have a total of 150 minutes to complete the test.
There is no negative marking in AP ICET 2026, and candidates receive one mark for each correct answer. Because no marks are deducted for incorrect or unattempted responses, students are encouraged to attempt all 200 questions.
The Analytical Ability section features 75 questions split between Data Sufficiency and Problem Solving. This includes 20 questions on Data Sufficiency and 55 questions covering sequences, series, data analysis, and coding-decoding.
The Mathematical Ability section contains 55 questions focusing on Arithmetical, Algebraical, Geometrical, and Statistical skills. Specifically, it includes 35 questions on Arithmetic and 10 questions each for Algebra/Geometry and Statistics.
