Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Big Data Analytics (PGDM BDA)

The PGDM BDA at GIM Goa is two year full time residential programme. Big Data Analytics (BDA) has created a new paradigm of facts-based or data-driven decision making in the area of management. It also holds huge promise to serve governments in policy formulations as well. After careful study of the prevailing market for analytics education in the country. Most courses focus on the business to handle tools and techniques. GIM Goa’s PGDM BDA is the only course aimed at training students to be Future-Ready, Data-Fluent Managers.

PGDM  BDA shapes data-fluent managers for data-driven decision-making. It focuses on applying BDA tools to solve business problems, covering statistics, big data, and business intelligence systems, including AI, ML, and deep learning. GIM's PGDM BDA blends theory and practice to educate future leaders. The program covers various management domains, with a mix of core and elective courses, a Give Goa project, Summer Internship Project. 

PGDM BDA students get hands-on training on various big data analytical tools such SAS, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, AWS IoT, Tensorflow, Keras and so on for various statistical modelling, machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain and visualization techniques, and its applications in diverse real-life business scenarios. In order to facilitate a hands-on training on actual data sets and a problem-solving mode of learning, the BDA course has state of the art infrastructure with a fully equipped Data Science Lab and teaching assistance. 
GIM Goa also offers Analytics services for Goa, a flagship program for PGDM-BDA, which offers first-hand interaction of the PGDM-BDA students and faculty with the Goan Industries and institutions with respect to analytics practices and projects. After completion of three terms in the campus, students are required to immediately join their respective companies to do analytics internship projects for five months. The placement for the internship takes place during the second term. The intensive five-month (18-21 weeks) internship is mentored by one GIM faculty and a company executive.

In the admission process GIM Goa will prefer candidates with medical, IT, Computer science and candidates with work experience in health care industry. Final Admission offer after completion of GIM Goa Admission process will be based on various components and weightages awarded to entrance exam scores, past academic performance, objective assessment, work experience, face to face evaluation among other parameters. Result of the selected candidates shall be released based on all these parameters. While the objective assessment is based on XAT, CAT, GMAT score, the Leadership assessment shall be based on Individual Assessment in Group Activity -interaction with peers and evaluators.

GIM Goa Application Process 2025: How to Apply for GIM Goa Admission?
GIM Goa Application can be submitted online. Goa Institute of Management (GIM) Admission 2025 process has different application phases like the First Mover, Early Bird, Achiever round among others as detailed below. Last date to apply for each round is different. Application fees goes on rising after each application round. Besides, Email ID submitted at the time of registration will be used for all correspondences until enrolment is completed. As such change in Email ID will NOT be permitted under any circumstances

GIM Goa Application should be submitted online with requisite application fees. There are four prominent application rounds to apply for GIM Goa admission 2025 including First Mover, Early Bird, Achiever Round and CAT Last date. Beginning with Rs.1750 application fee for one program, GIM Goa Application fee goes on increasing with addition of each programme in each subsequent round.
