Master of Business Administration Infrastructure Development & Management (MBA IDM)

The two-year full-time residential MBA Infrastructure Development & Management (MBA IDM) at SCMHRD Pune is a unique programme. It  aims to ‘Build Capabilities to Make Infrastructure Happen’. The course content blends SCMHRD’s proven legacy of management education and a curriculum that has been designed by Industry experts. The course is exhaustively designed to deal with various issues and challenges in the development of infrastructure in India. At the same time, it provides a strong grounding in general managerial aspects like business strategies, supply chain management and business laws. Students are given the opportunity to specialize in select functional and sectoral areas.

The program is spread across four semesters and offers specialisations in Project Execution, Project Feasibility & Finance and sectoral specializations including Transportation, Energy, Urban Infrastructure and key areas of Project Feasibility.

At the end of first year, students go for summer internships in prominent companies. In the second year specializations are offered in the areas of Project Execution, Project Feasibility & Finance and sectoral specializations including Transportation, Energy, Urban Infrastructure and key areas of Project Feasibility. Pedagogy at SCMHRD Pune is a mix of many methodologies. There is a conscious effort to make the sessions interactive by using case studies and references of latest developments in the relevant field. In addition, students are encouraged to undertake multiple projects to hone their research and analytical skills. Latest tools and techniques like Business Simulations are used wherever possible. Ample amount of guest lectures are organized by inviting leading corporate executives, especially from the alumni pool.

With the objective of encouraging meritorious students and academic excellence, Scholarships/ Awards are offered to deserving students of the University by the Symbiosis Society Foundation. Following scholarships are offered to SCMHRD Pune students:

University Scholarships: SIU Pune offers various scholarships to SCMHRD Pune students including Merit based PG Scholarships, Jayatee Deshmukh PG Scholarship for a Girl Student, Alumni Scholarship, International Student Scholarships, Outstanding sports person Scholarships, Jayatee Deshmukh Award among others Apart from these, Government of India and other scholarships are also offered to students.

The step by step process for admission to MBA IDM programme at SCMHRD Pune is as follows:

Step 1: The candidate must apply and appear and score the minimum required percentile in SNAP Test

Step 2: Along with submitting application for SNAP exam, candidates should register and apply for admission to SCMHRD Pune by paying additional registration fee of Rs.1000/- per programme through SNAP application form  

Step 3: Preserve the Admit Card of SNAP Test for further selection process at SCMHRD, Pune. Appearing for SNAP Test does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in SCMHRD Pune selection process

Step 4: SCMHRD Pune Shortlist Criteria is based on SNAP exam score. For MBA IDM admission, every year SCMHRD Pune shortlist criteria is announced. Shortlisted candidates are called for GE-PI Round from among the candidates who have a valid SNAP score, who have applied for admission to SCMHRD Pune and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme  

Step 5: The final admission round in SCMHRD Pune MBA IDM selection process will be held separately at SCMHRD Pune campus

Step 6: After the GE-PI round, final admission offers will be made to successful candidates. Admission offer will be based on the weightage awarded to SNAP score, GE, PI and institute specific marks. Offer letters will be sent to the mailing address provided in the application form as also by email.

Candidates need to register and apply for SNAP exam and in the same SNAP form can apply for SCMHRD Pune MBA admission. The registration and application fee for SNAP exam is Rs.2250/- and SCMHRD Pune MBA application fee is Rs.1000/-
