MBA Business Analytics

The two-year full-time residential MBA Business Analytics Programme of SCMHRD Pune aims to provide the students with conceptual and practical knowledge of business analytics along with a sound understanding of management theory and practice. MBA BA graduates from SCMHRD just don’t join any industry house – they influence it, shape it, and change it for the better. MBA Business Analytics  at SCMHRD goes beyond the traditionally tried and tested methods to instill in students a complete entrepreneurial mindset. The program teaches students to not only recognize opportunity, but to create it, an essential ability in a business environment that is constantly evolving both inside and outside of their organizational environment. SCMHRD focuses exclusively on leadership education with focus on education and research in solving the leadership challenges plaguing the organizations of today.

SCMHRD Pune MBA Business Analytics curriculum is divided into four semesters spread over two years.  SCMHRD specializes in producing quality talent. The institute believes to impart wholesome knowledge through experience and practical learning. SCMHRD has designed intense academic curriculum to prepare its students to deliver their best. 

The courses in the MBA Analytics program are designed with active participation by people in industry working with Analytics and Big Data. In addition, all courses are taught by the people in industry who helped design the courses from a holistic perspective. The courses are designed and taught in a way that will give an appreciation for various functions encountered in a real life Analytics situation – the interplay between Marketing, Risk, Operations, HR, and Finance. Students get hands-on learning about how these processes are interlinked.

The increasing availability of data has meant that management decisions can be backed up with solid analytical facts about the data. Tools that were once the exclusive domain of statisticians are now increasingly available to dissect and explore data to expose patterns that are invaluable in decision making. The structure of the programme is designed to give students the best in industry exposure and a nurturing classroom environment, to help them become the leaders of tomorrow.

Apart from academic excellence, the institute also focuses on equipping the students with the latest technical competencies used in the corporate world. SCMHRD has a consistent track record of placing its students in most sought after companies every year.  At the end of first year, students go for summer internships in prominent companies. 

With the objective of encouraging meritorious students and academic excellence, Scholarships/ Awards are offered to deserving students of the University by the Symbiosis Society Foundation. Following scholarships are offered to SCMHRD Pune students:

University Scholarships: SIU Pune offers various scholarships to SCMHRD Pune students including Merit based PG Scholarships, Jayatee Deshmukh PG Scholarship for a Girl Student, Alumni Scholarship, International Student Scholarships, Outstanding sports person Scholarships, Jayatee Deshmukh Award among others Apart from these, Government of India and other scholarships are also offered to students.

The step by step process for admission to MBA Business Analytics programme at SCMHRD Pune is as follows:

Step 1: The candidate must apply and appear and score the minimum required percentile in SNAP Test

Step 2: Along with submitting application for SNAP exam, candidates should register and apply for admission to SCMHRD Pune by paying additional registration fee of Rs.1000/- per programme through SNAP application form  

Step 3: Preserve the Admit Card of SNAP Test for further selection process at SCMHRD, Pune. Appearing for SNAP Test does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in SCMHRD Pune selection process

Step 4: SCMHRD Pune Shortlist Criteria is based on SNAP exam score. For MBA-BA admission, every year SCMHRD Pune shortlist criteria is announced. Shortlisted candidates are called for GE-PI Round from among the candidates who have a valid SNAP score, who have applied for admission to SCMHRD Pune and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme  

Step 5: The final admission round in SCMHRD Pune MBA-BA selection process will be held separately at SCMHRD Pune campus

Step 6: After the GE-PI round, final admission offers will be made to successful candidates. Admission offer will be based on the weightage awarded to SNAP score, GE, PI and institute specific marks. Offer letters will be sent to the mailing address provided in the application form as also by email.

Candidates need to register and apply for SNAP exam and in the same SNAP form can apply for SCMHRD Pune MBA Business Analytics admission. The registration and application fee for SNAP exam is Rs.2250/- and SCMHRD Pune MBA application fee is Rs.1000/-
