CAT 2023 Slot 1 Exam Begins! 100,000 Candidates taking exam

Out of the 3.30 lakhs applicants, more than 100,000 candidates are taking the Slot-1 of CAT 2023 exam. The exam has begun glitch free and will be over at 10.30 AM. MBAUniverse.com will release the Slot-1 CAT exam analysis immediately after the exam.

Gates Closed at Exam Centre; No candidates allowed

Gate closing time for CAT 2023 slot-1exam is 8.15 AM and no candidates are supposed to enter the exam centre. However, due to one or other problem, some of the test takers are seen running to enter the exam centre. With security check still going on, they were given entry and the gates were finally closed after that.

Students begin to enter Exam Centre; Tight checking at gates

The entry to the CAT exam centre is open now. There is a long queue by now as the frisking and security check begins. Although there are multiple security check points, but since the candidates have to show their Admit card with original photo ID proof, 2-3 minutes are consumed for each candidate. No candidate is allowed with thick footwear, belt, garments with large buttons. Some candidates are looking for gum to paste their photo on Admit card. Parking outside the CAT exam centres has become a big issue. The candidates who are to appear in slot-2 or slot-3 should take note of parking problem as there is no authorized parking at the CAT exam centre.

CAT 2023 to begin shortly at 200+ Exam Centres in India

CAT 2023 slot-1 exam is scheduled in 160+ cities at more than 200 test venues from 8.30 AM. The slot-1 reporting time is 7.00 AM. However, at CAT exam centres preparations are getting final touch and the entry for the slot -1 exam is to begin in a few minutes. In North India CAT 2023 test takers are braving the cool morning breeze and are queued up outside the CAT exam centres waiting for opening of gates.

CAT 2023 Dress Code: No Jewellery, Thick-Soled Shoes, Wallet, Henna, Jackets with Pockets

To ensure a hassle-free exam experience for MBA aspirants, IIM Lucknow has released a dress code for boys and girls to follow for CAT Exam Day. IIM L has also given a list of items to carry, and not to carry. Any breach in following the CAT Day dress code and guidelines may cost the candidates denial of entry to the test centre. Read More

3.30 Lakh Candidates Vying for 10000 MBA Seats in IIMs

CAT 2023 is going to witness highest number of CAT takers in the history of Common Admission Test with 30% increase in candidates. 3.30 Lakh candidates have applied for CAT 2023 as against 2.55 lakh candidates in CAT 2022. Apart from earlier 20 IIMs, IIM Mumbai, IIFT, TISS have been added to the list of CAT accepting colleges.
