Every question in KMAT Kerala carries the same four marks, so the weight of a section depends only on how many questions it has. English and Quantitative Aptitude together carry 400 of the 720 marks, which is more than half the paper.

How Marks Are Awarded
How Negative Marking Affects Your Score
Because a wrong answer costs one mark and a correct answer earns four, four wrong answers cancel out the marks of one correct answer. For example, a candidate who attempts 120 questions and gets 90 right and 30 wrong scores 90 × 4 − 30 = 330 marks. If the same candidate had attempted only the 100 questions they were surest of, with 90 right and 10 wrong, the score would be 350. Accuracy, not the number of attempts, decides the final score.
KMAT Kerala exam time duration is 3 hours, or 180 minutes, for 180 questions. This works out to an average of one minute per question. There is no sectional time limit, so the 3 hours apply to the whole paper and you decide how to divide your time. Finish GK and other sections that you find easy in the exam and this will leave you with time for harder sections. Adjust this plan to your strengths in KMAT Kerala mock tests. General Knowledge questions are usually answered quickly if you know them, which can free up time for Quantitative Aptitude or Reading Comprehension.

KMAT Kerala is conducted as a Computer Based Test at centres across all districts of Kerala. While applying, candidates choose four exam city codes in order of preference, and CEE may allot another city if too few candidates choose a particular one. On exam day, once the reporting time ends, candidates take a short Mock Test to become familiar with the computer-based format, and the actual exam follows. You must carry your admit card and an original photo ID, such as an Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Driving Licence or PAN card.
