SNAP Exam Pattern 2024: Exam on 3 Dates in December 2024; Check Overall & Sectional Composition, Scoring pattern 

SNAP 2024 is the mandatary entrance exam for MBA admission 2025 in 15 Symbiosis colleges. Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune, the SNAP exam conducting body, releases the updated SNAP exam pattern, with the release of SNAP exam notification in August. SNAP exam 2024 will be held on three dates in the month of December 2024. SNAP exam pattern was revised during Covid-19 pandemic and since then same exam pattern is being followed. The expected SNAP exam 2024 dates are December 10, 17 & 22. SNAP is an Online computer based test and is conducted at more than 90 exam centres in India.

1. What is SNAP Exam Pattern? SNAP Pattern 2024: Key Highlights

SNAP 2024 is the mandatory exam for MBA admission in 15 Symbiosis Institutes including SIBM Pune, SCMHRD Pune and others. SNAP 2024 Question Paper has 3 sections, namely– General English, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability; Quantitative, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. For the convenience of the test takers to understand the structure of SNAP exam, and prepare accordingly, it may be noted that SNAP exam pattern is similar to other leading national level MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT and NMAT. SNAP has moderate difficulty level. You need to ensure high score in each of the three sections as there is also a sectional score cut off in SIBM Pune and other Symbiosis colleges for shortlisting. 3. SNAP Exam Pattern 2024 for General English, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability

The General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability section in SNAP carries overall 25% Weightage in the exam.  Out of total 60 questions, 15 questions are based on this section. This section in SNAP paper is divided into 4 parts. The 1st part covers topics on Verbal Ability (English Grammar); 2nd Part covers Verbal Reasoning; 3rd part is on Reading Comprehension passages. However, some times, there are no RC Passages in this section and the questions are based on Verbal Ability and Verbal Reasoning. SNAP Quantitative, DI and DS Section carries overall 33% Weight in SNAP exam. Out of total 60 questions in SNAP, 20 questions are based on Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency.   • The Current Affairs Section in SNAP exam has been removed
  • There are No Special Answer (SA) Questions any more in SNAP exam pattern. Earlier there were 5 SA questions
  • No variable marking scheme, each right answer carries +1 mark in SNAP 2024
  • 1/4 Negative Marking for incorrect answer
  • SNAP exam pattern 2024 consists of lowest number of questions – 60 as against other leading exams which have 66 to 150 questions
  • SNAP 2024 is of one hour duration exam for all the three dates

7. SNAP 2024 Exam Day Guide

Key instructions for SNAP exam day are shared below:

7.1 Documents to Carry to Exam Centre
You must carry only the following 3 items with you in the SNAP testing room namely,

  • Colour copy of the Admit Card with recent passport size colour photo pasted in the space provided
  • Government issued Photo ID Proof in original
  • Black/Blue simple ball pen

7.2 Important Do’s for SNAP Exam Day

  • Print a colour copy of the SNAP Admit card on an A4 size paper using a laser printer.
  • Admit Card is valid only if the candidate's photograph is legibly printed.
  • Reach the SNAP Test Centre one and half hour before the exam time. This will allow sufficient time to complete the registration and biometric data gathering requirements at SNAP test centre
  • Candidates will be allowed inside the Test Centre only upto 15 minutes before the exam time
  • The check-in procedure inside the test hall includes your image and fingerprint capture.
  • The SNAP Admit Card is to be submitted for verification at the time of the test, so carry at least one original (not photocopied or scanned) and valid (not expired) Government issued photo identification card (such as Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card) to the SNAP text centre on the SNAP 2024 exam date
  • Please check that your photograph and signature images are legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and match the name on Admit Card. Please note that your Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged.
  • Only SNAP Exam Admit Card & Photo ID Card along with a simple ball point pen are allowed to be taken inside the SNAP exam hall
  • Candidates should write their name and Entrance Test Seat Number on each rough sheet(s) provided to them

7.3 Key Don’ts for SNAP Exam Day

  • Mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets such as watches, calculators, smart devices of any kind, etc. and paper are NOT ALLOWED inside the SNAP test centre.
  • There is no facility for safe keeping of your personal belongings outside the test hall and SNAP is not responsible for its loss.
  • Friends and relatives accompanying the candidate will not be allowed inside the SNAP test centre. Rough sheet(s) will be provided to the candidate for rough work which will have to be returned after the test.
  • Each workstation in the test hall will be blocked on three sides and can be accessed only to the candidate assigned the particular work station
  • Do not exchange your workstation with anyone else. If there is a problem with your workstation, please report it to the invigilator for corrective action.
  • Since the test centre will not have any facilities like locker to keep your personal items such as bags, books, wrist watch or mobile phones, these items are not allowed into the exam hall.
  • There is no provision of waiting room or designated area for friends and relatives who accompany you to the test centre.
