XLRI has released XAT 2022 result on January 17, 2022 after the final answer key with objection management were finalized. You can download XAT exam result from the official XAT website- XATOnline.in. XLRI had earlier released XAT 2022 Answer key on January 3, 2022 with candidate response sheet within a day after the XAT Exam date of Jan 2, 2022. XAT 2022 is the mandatory entrance exam for XLRI PGDM admission 2022. It will be conducted in a single session of 3 hours 10 minutes duration as a computer based test from 9.30 AM to 12.40 PM on January 2, 2022. There will be 100 MCQ type questions and 1 descriptive Essay writing question in XAT 2022. During the 190 minutes of test duration there is no sectional time limit for the part-1 while after 165 minutes, you can attempt only part-2 of XAT exam. Last date to apply for XAT 2022 exam has closed on December 10, 2021

What is XAT Exam?
XAT is the Admission Test for admission to MBA/PGDM programs in XLRI and other top MBA colleges like XIMB, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI Manipal and 160 other top MBA colleges in India. XLRI will offer admission to its Jamshedpur and Delhi campuses on the basis of this exam score only and will not accept any other test score. There are more than 70 cities and more than 100 venues where XAT 2022 exam will be conducted in India.


XAT Full Form: Key Details

XAT 2022 exam full form is Xavier Aptitude Test and the exam is one of the largest MBA Entrance Exams for Admission to XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT, XIMB, TAPMI and 160+ MBA Colleges in India. Every year more than 1,00,000 candidates from all disciplines including Engineering, Commerce, Humanities, Science, Law apply and appear in this exam to get into the various MBA programs offered by these top B-schools. Over the years, Xavier Aptitude Test has become an easier test but to get a high percentile (90+) in this exam requires 4-5 months of serious preparation.

Along with releasing the  Notification 2022 and finalizing the exam date, XLRI has announced the complete schedule and all important dates.  Although XLRI will accept score of only Xavier Aptitude Test, the other associated top MBA colleges will accept other exam scores also. Xavier Aptitude Test is online computer based exam. The aggregate maximum marks in the exam are 101 for 101 questions divided in 5 sections. Each correct answer for MCQ is awarded +1 mark and each wrong answer will attract the penalty of -0.25 mark. Total time duration for the exam is 3 hours 10 minutes. Exam pattern is as below:

Xavier Aptitude Test  Syllabus 2022 is divided into 4 sections - Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension; Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. How to get XAT 2022 Admit Card?
XLRI will release the Admit card for Xavier Aptitude Test on December 20, 2021. The Admit Card will be uploaded on official XAT exam website in morning hours.  You need to download the admit card from the website. No hard copy of the admit card will be sent to you, but you should download it and take print of the same as you will need to produce the hall ticket at the test centre. The Admit card download will be available online till exam date.


Only the candidates who have successfully  registered for the exam and have also paid the  application fee can download the admit card.


Guidelines for Admit Card Download

  • You need to login with your ID and Password at the official website for  admit card download 
  • You must check your personal details, candidature, test centre details before completing your admit card download process.
  • Once you have viewed all the details, you should immediately complete the admit card download and save it

XAT exam 2022 is divided in four sections out of which the score of three major sections on VALR, DM, QADI will be counted for percentile calculation and subsequent shortlisting process by XLRI. The fourth section on GK will not be counted in merit list preparation by XLRI. There may not be International test cities for XAT 2022. Earlier XAT was used to be conducted in Dubai (UAE) and Kathmandu (Nepal) also.


In view of rising number of applicants, XLRI has increased the number of test cities to 72 from earlier 46 XAT exam cities. XAT 2022 test takers can choose two preferred test cities while applying for XAT 2022 exam.

XAT Selection Procedure 2022

MBA Selection process on the basis of  XAT 2022 exam will start immediately after declaration of XAT exam 2021 result. The selection process at XLRI is more governed by its admission policy 2022. The other 160 member and associate B-schools accepting XAT scores will also select the candidates on the basis of XAT 2022 percentile and as per their final admission round.

XAT Previous Year Question Papers

XLRI has released five XAT Previous Year Question Papers on the XAT exam official website. In each subsequent year of XAT exam, one recent XAT previous question paper is added to this list. However, these XAT question papers, released by XLRI are without answer key. The question papers are from the XAT year 2016 to 2020 and can be attempted any number of times freely by anyone.


XAT previous year question papers are the best guide to prepare for the XAT question paper 2022. XLRI release the XAT Previous Year papers after the beginning of application process in August every year. XAT 2022 exam date is January 2, 2022.
