Shradha Sharma passed out of MICA in 2004. She has worked with The Times of India as the Brand Advisor and has founded YourStory, India’s leading online media venture for Entrepreneurs and Startups. She has been with YourStory for 13 years and 8 months.

 

MICA Alumnus Shradha Sharma is a successful media entrepreneur and a big evangelist of Indian Startup Movement. She founded online platform Your Story in 2008, with the aim of championing the untold stories of entrepreneurship in India. Since its launch, YourStory has profiled the narratives of over 40,000 entrepreneurs. Sushant Dash, CEO at Tata Starbucks

Sushant Dash is a 1996 passout from MICA. After MICA he joined ORG MARG as the Associate Research Director. After working there for 3 years and 11 months, Sushant started his career in TATA as the Sr Brand Manager and since the past year he has been the CEO of Tata Starbucks Ltd.

 

MICA Alumnus Sushant Dash is the CEO of legendry global Coffee brand Starbucks India operations. Prior to his elevation as the CEO, Sushant was the President of packaged beverages at Tata Consumer Products. Starbucks first launched operations in October 2012 in a 50:50 joint venture with Tata Consumer Products. Dash was part of the core team that opened the first Tata Starbucks store in the country and was directly responsible for the strategy and marketing of the Starbucks brand. Chiradeep Gupta, Global Media Strategy Director at Unilever

In 2018, Unilever appointed MICA Alumnus Chiradeep Gupta as the global media strategy director in London office. Prior to his elevation, Gupta was playing the Global Media Director role in Singapore for three years. Gupta joined Unilever in 2011 and began as a Global Media Innovation manager. Prior to his assignment at Unilever, he was the ASEAN Regional Director at Starcom (a media agency) for two years. He also held roles such as Communications Manager, Associate Director for Innovation, Regional Director and many other functions. He has worked in both India and Singapore. Praveen Sharma

Praveen Sharma, CEO - Paytm Payments Services Ltd, Paytm

MICA Alumnus Praveen Sharma runs a few different businesses at Paytm. Paytm is one of most diversified consumer Internet company in India with interests in Payments, commerce, financial services, gaming, travel, ticketing etc.

Before his stint in Paytm, Praveen spent almost 9 years with Google in India and Singapore. His first stint in Google was on the India leadership team where he ran the Youtube and Display advertising sales for India. YouTube monetization in India was just getting kicked off and this allowed him to drive penetration of online video in the ad ecosystem of the country. In his second stint, Praveen led an APAC wide distributed team that worked with individual country sales leadership to drive revenue of all advertising products across performance marketing (includes search, app promotion, shopping/commerce, measurement and analytics etc). A key part of his role was to represent APAC performance products to the global product organization of Google. Before Google, Praveen held several senior level positions across the most reputed advertising agency groups. Amol Gurwara

Amol Gurwara, Country Manager, Amazon, Kindle

MICA Alumnus Amol is the Country Manager, Kindle Content, India, based out of Amazon's Singapore office. He is a media technology industry leader with a proven track record of building and running businesses comprising of creative, design, product management and technology focused functions.

Prior to Amazon, Amol worked at Electronic Arts for 11 years, as the Managing Director of EA’s India operations, running a video gaming business with a portfolio of leading global game franchises like Bejeweled, Tetris and Plant vs Zombies. Previously, he was the Co-Founder and Director of Operations at Aurona Technologies, where he set up managed a team of 100+ game programmers, software engineers and game artists. Before co-founding Aurona, he was at Recreate Solutions Limited, UK, handling client interaction across UK. Prior to that, he was Head of Rich Media Services at Sriven Multitech Limited, an outsourced animation production company.

Vinay Subramanyam

Vinay Subramanyam, Chief Marketing Officer, Pidilite Industries Limited

MICA Alumnus Vinay Subramanyam is the CMO of Pidilite Industries, the adhesive manufacturing giant that owns brands like inconic Fevicol. Prior to joining Pidilite, he was the vice president of marketing at Britannia Industries. Subramanyam’s last working month at Britannia was in the December of 2021. He had joined it in the February of 2015 as the category manager of health and vitality and moved up the ranks to become the vice president of marketing in August 2019, a post he held until his last working month. He joined Britannia in his first stint in 2007 as a product manager and worked at the FMCG company for just over three years and five months.

Pankaj Bhalla, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Grooming, Procter & Gamble

Pankaj Bhalla is a MICA pass out and is currently the Vice President at Procter and Gamble. Prior to this he worked with HERO as the Assistant Marketing Manager. He started his P&G journey with being the National Sales Planner for Gillette and worked his way up to the designation of Vice President as he stuck with the company for 17 years 8 months and continuing.

 

MICA Alumnus Pankaj Bhalla leads P&G’s US$ 3 Billion Europe Grooming business which includes iconic brands such as Gillette®, Venus®, Braun®, Daisy®, Satin Care® as well as recently launched brands with King C. Gillette® and Sunny®. Pankaj is responsible for Sales, Profit, Value creation, Market Share, Innovation, Communication and Commercial selling for all 10 European market clusters covering Western, Central, Eastern Europe, Turkey & Israel. Pankaj Bhalla started his P&G career in the Gillette company in the early 2000s, a few years ahead of the Gillette Company’s acquisition by Procter & Gamble in 2006.

 

With twenty years experience in local, regional and global assignments, Pankaj has worked in sectors such as Automobile, Fast Moving Consumer products and Consumer Appliances. Kunal Jeswani is a PGP alumni from the first class. He is now the Chief Operating Officer of Ogilvy India. Kunal Jeswani has nearly 19 years of experience in the sector, having worked for companies such as The Republic and Ogilvy One. Prior to becoming the CEO of Ogilvy India, he served as the Chief Digital Officer for Ogilvy India for two years, overseeing the company's digital strategy in India across all domestic markets and disciplines.
