About XIM University Bhubaneswar
The university grew out of Xavier Institute of Management, founded in 1987 through a "social contract" between the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Jesuit Society. The Xavier University, Odisha Act, 2013, later amended in 2021, created the university, which can award degrees. The PGDM-HRM and PGDM-RM became the MBA-HRM and MBA-RM, which the university states remain identical in quality, content and duration. The New Campus at Nijigada, Kurki, was inaugurated on 7 July 2014.

Today XIM University has twelve schools: Xavier Institute of Management, and the Schools of Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Sustainability, Human Settlements, Commerce, Communications, Economics, Computer Science and Engineering, Governance and Public Affairs, Liberal Arts, and Xavier Law School.
