Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

SPJIMR's Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two-year, full-time residential program that is deemed equivalent to an MBA. The programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Besides, SPJIMR PGDM is AACSB Accredited and is also accredited by AMBA, U.K. 

The goal of the PGDM program is to develop young, value-based leaders who balance profit and social purpose. With its participant centric approach, SPJIMR strives to provide a superior learning experience by encouraging team work and facilitating experiential learning. Apart from a host of pioneering non-classroom activities like Abhyudaya, DOCC(Development of Corporate Citizenship), ADMAP(Assessment and Development of Managerial and Administrative Potential), PG LAB and Science of Spirituality, participants are exposed to high levels of global relevance, especially by way of specialized courses and projects with SPJIMR’s globally ranked international partner schools.

The PGDM program offers specializations in Finance, Information Management, Marketing, and Operations & Supply Chain. SPJIMR offers choice of specialization at the application submission stage. While filling the application form, the PGDM aspirants are required to opt for two choices of specialisation from Marketing, Finance, Operations & Supply Chain, Information Management.

PGDM academic year commences with the Harvard Business School’s pre-MBA foundation module. The first-year curriculum focuses on core functional and general management courses. In addition, participants begin their experiential learning journey with specially curated Immersive Experiences (Non-classroom learning initiatives) of PGLab, Abhyudaya, ADMAP, DoCC, SOS and Design and Innovation. The second-year curriculum focuses on making the participants industry ready. It integrates the functional and general management concepts and experiential learnings developed in the first year by engaging the participants with rigour in major and minor specialisations, a range of common electives, corporate internships, and international immersion at an international partner school with the Global Fast Track (GFT) module.

The second-year curriculum provides inputs in the chosen area of specialisation based on the participants’ career aspirations and relevant industry requirements. The participants can apply their practice focus management learnings in the real world through a two-month corporate internship programme. The three-week Global Fast Track (GFT) programme at a globally top-ranked B-School exposes participants to contemporary international business innovation practices and cross-cultural nuances of businesses across geographies.

PGDM at SPJIMR offers the participants the flexibility to change their major specialisation and also choose a minor specialisation. Major specialisations offered are Operations and Supply Chain; Marketing; Finance; Information Management

To apply for the SPJIMR PGDM Admission, applicants must fill the form on the SPJIMR online admissions portal with application fee of Rs.2000. A common application form is introduced to apply for PGDM and PGDM (BM) admission.  

SPJIMR Mumbai Admission Process for 2 years full time PGDM program is designed keeping in mind that best talent should join the institute. SPJIMR’s selection process assesses not only intellectual readiness in terms of academics but also considers emotional readiness, work experience, extra-curricular activities and aptitude that are aligned with the Institute’s mission of influencing managerial practice and promoting 
values-based growth. SPJIMR Admission process is divided into four parts – Application submission & Taking CAT/GMAT exam; Shortlisting, PI round and final selection as below:

Step-1: Application: Register and Apply for CAT/GMAT exam and separately Apply for SPJIMR Admission online

Step-2: Shortlisting:  SPJIMR follows unique shortlisting process. The applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their profiles and they are also expected to meet the qualifying scores in the entrance exam. The profiles are scored and the applicants are sorted into two groups: Profile based and Profile-cum-score based. SPJIMR Mumbai gives higher emphasis on other quality parameters in its admission process than merely on entrance exam scores. The shortlist will be based on Consistency of academic record; Relevance of work experience for the chosen specialization; Versatility and achievements.  SPJIMR cut off for shortlisting based on CAT, GMAT score is as below:

Step-3: PI Round: The Applicants shortlisted based on their profile will be called for an early interview. Early interviews are convenient as it avoids overlapping with other interview calls during the admissions season. 
Step-4: Final selection: Final merit list will be based on Performance in PI round and on various factors such as-Academic background, Work experience, Entrance scores, Versatility and achievements.

You need to register first and then should complete the application form. The step by step process is as below: 

• Step-1: Register: You need to click on the Apply Now link at SPJIMR Admission website. A registration window will open. Fill up the basic details as required and click on ‘Register.’ You will get a verification mail which you need to verify. On completion of this step, the SPJIMR Application Form will open and you should fill each part of it one by one.
• Step-2: Fill Application Form: After registration and verification, you will need to complete the application form. The application form has 7-8 pages in which you need to fill in your personal details, family details, academic details, your academic and other achievements, performance in CAT/GMAT, upload your photo and signature.
• Step-3: Make Payment: SPJIMR Application fees is Rs. 2000 (If Applying to only 1 program PGDM or PGDM(BM); The fee is Rs.3000 (If you are Applying to both program PGDM and PGDM(BM). You should make payment of the fees online. Your application form will treated as successfully submitted only after you make payment of the application fees online.
