PGDM Business Management (PGDM-BM)

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Business Management) is a two-year, full-time residential programme with a General Management focus. Built on identical pillars as the current flagship PGDM programme, it is an AICTE-approved programme and admits only 120 participants. PGDM (BM) gives its participants the unique flexibility to choose a preferred mix of courses to align with their career goals and help them develop holistic overview of all functional areas to excel in cross-functional business decision-making. 

The programme offers flexibility to pursue General Management courses in-depth with an option to choose concentration/specialisation and electives of interest at the application stage. The rational for the selection of specializations at the application stage is that it helps to achieve segmentation at the time of admission based on differentiated need of the recruiting organizations. The Applicants develop a clear and sharp focus early in the program. The spectrum of recruiters as students graduate, is broadened. Students foster better bonding with peers resulting in productive collaborations especially with participants opting for different areas of specialization.

The programme architecture offers state-of-the-art courses in business management and corporate internship opportunities combined with curated Immersive Experiences to accelerate the participants’ leadership development. The curriculum includes a foundation module followed by functional and general management courses and Immersive Experiences (non-classroom learnings) in the first year and a basket of courses carefully curated from the different functional areas of business, in the second year. 

The first year curriculum aims at strengthening fundamentals of all areas of business and provides a holistic perspective of business management. The participants also develop managerial knowledge & skills through various Non-Classroom Learning initiatives (NCLs) and social internship.

The second-year curriculum provides inputs in various functional areas in a balanced manner, corporate internship and Global Fast Track (GFT) programme at a globally top-ranked B-School.
 

To apply for the SPJIMR PGDM-BM Admission, applicants must fill the form on the SPJIMR online admissions portal with application fee of Rs.2000. A common application form is introduced to apply for PGDM BM and PGDM admission.  

SPJIMR Mumbai Admission Process for 2 years full time PGDM BM program is designed keeping in mind that best talent should join the institute. SPJIMR’s selection process assesses not only intellectual readiness in terms of academics but also considers emotional readiness, work experience, extra-curricular activities and aptitude that are aligned with the Institute’s mission of influencing managerial practice and promoting values-based growth. SPJIMR Admission process is divided into four parts –  Application submission & Taking CAT/GMAT exam; Shortlisting, PI round and final selection as below:

Step-1: Application: Register and Apply for CAT/GMAT exam and separately Apply for SPJIMR Admission online

Step-2: Shortlisting:  SPJIMR follows unique shortlisting process. The applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their profiles and they are also expected to meet the qualifying scores in the entrance exam. The profiles are scored and the applicants are sorted into two groups: Profile based and Profile-cum-score based. SPJIMR Mumbai gives higher emphasis on other quality parameters in its admission process than merely on entrance exam scores. The shortlist will be based on Consistency of academic record; Relevance of work experience for the chosen specialization; Versatility and achievements.  SPJIMR cut off for shortlisting based on CAT, GMAT score is as below:

Step-3: PI Round: The Applicants shortlisted based on their profile will be called for an early interview. Early interviews are convenient as it avoids overlapping with other interview calls during the admissions season. 
Step-4: Final selection: Final merit list will be based on Performance in PI round and on various factors such as-Academic background, Work experience, Entrance scores, Versatility and achievements.

You need to register first and then should complete the application form. The step by step process is as below: 

• Step-1: Register: You need to click on the Apply Now link at SPJIMR Admission website. A registration window will open. Fill up the basic details as required and click on ‘Register.’ You will get a verification mail which you need to verify. On completion of this step, the SPJIMR Application Form will open and you should fill each part of it one by one.
• Step-2: Fill Application Form: After registration and verification, you will need to complete the application form. The application form has 7-8 pages in which you need to fill in your personal details, family details, academic details, your academic and other achievements, performance in CAT/GMAT, upload your photo and signature.
• Step-3: Make Payment: SPJIMR Application fees is Rs. 2000 (If Applying to only 1 program PGDM or PGDM(BM); The fee is Rs.3000 (If you are Applying to both program PGDM and PGDM(BM). You should make payment of the fees online. Your application form will treated as successfully submitted only after you make payment of the application fees online.
