The Cap participating 9 IIMs will prepare their final merit list for MBA admission 2022 on the basis of scores obtained in CAP 2022. IIM Jammu has increased its intake for MBA 2022-24 batch to 240 students as more candidates showing interest to take admission in this new IIM. Although IIM Jammu is yet to announce its admission policy 2022, not much change is expected from the last year IIM Jammu admission criteria.

IIM Jammu to Award MBA instead of PGDM
Instead of awarding diploma, IIM Jammu now awards MBA degree to the students of its 2 year flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and has changed the programme name to Master of Business Administration (MBA). The two-year, full-time, residential programme is designed to equip students to take on leadership roles in an increasingly complex and dynamic global scenario. Each year consists of three trimesters, with 8 weeks of summer internship.
Mentored by IIM Lucknow, IIM Jammu participates in Common Admission Process (CAP) conducted for 9 new IIMs for final selection of candidates.
Intake Increased to 240 Students
IIM Jammu has increased MBA 2022-24 batch seats to 240. In the first year of its launch, for the 2016-18 batch, IIM Jammu had only 47 students. The number has increased for each subsequent batch.

IIM Jammu Srinagar Campus: Permanent Off Campus
IIM Jammu is constructing its Srinagar Campus with an investment of Rs 55 crore to train people with the programs on the local horticulture, agriculture and processing industries. Besides, the campus will offer them tailor- made management programmes and short-term courses. IIM Jammu Admission Eligibility
- IIM Jammu admission eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category, the eligibility criterion is relaxed to 45%
- The candidate should appear in CAT exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to become eligible for admission at IIM Jammu
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for IIM Jammu Admission.

IIM Jammu Admission Criteria 2022 is a three step process:
- Step-1: IIM-J Pre shortlisting criteria
- Step-2: IIM Jammu Shortlisting criteria for PI-WAT

Step-1: Pre-Shortlisting Criteria
- In the first phase, all eligible candidates who have appeared for CAT and have applied for IIM Jammu are considered for shortlisting
- Candidates who qualify at this stage are asked to reconfirm their interest for admission to MBA 2022-24 of IIM Jammu sometime in the month of March/April
- IIM Jammu sends e-mail to all candidates who have applied to IIM Jammu and also meet the minimum CAT percentile requirements
- The E-mail will have a link to a web page where the candidates must reconfirm, by a stipulated date, their interest to pursue their candidature further, for admission to MBA at IIM Jammu.
Step-2: IIM Jammu Shortlisting Criteria for PI-WAT
- IIM Jammu Shortlisting criteria of candidates is based on securing minimum section-wise and aggregate percentile scores in CAT exam
- The shortlisting is common and is done by CAP coordinating IIM
- Candidates obtaining a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all sections of CAT exam are only considered in IIM Jammu shortlisting criteria
- All the subsequent processing, standardization and selection is limited to candidates belonging to this first shortlist alone. Accordingly, only CAT score is used as the basis for arriving at the shortlist for PI-WAT round
2.1 IIM Jammu Cut off for PI-WAT
Only those candidates who meet the minimum CAT 2021 percentile requirements, and reconfirm their interest, by the stipulated date, for admission to MBA 2022-24 of IIM Jammu are considered for final admission with the PI-WAT round score. 2.3 IIM Jammu Cut Off for Female Candidates
In case of female candidates under the general category, the overall required IIM Jammu cut-off for eligibility for PA (PI-WAT) process is minimum 85 percentile overall, with sectional cut-offs of 75 percentile.
IIM Jammu's Admission Committee decides the number of candidates who would be called for Personal Assessment (PA) process on the basis of criteria prepared for each category. However, if the actual number of short-listed candidates are found to be less than the required number of candidates to be called for WAT & PI category-wise, the overall as well as section-wise minimum score requirement in IIM Jammu cut off, would be reduced to get the desired number of candidates.
Step-3: IIM Jammu Final admission selection Criteria
- All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in the IIM Jammu final admission CAP round for admission 2022
- The candidates who are shortlisted and interviewed by any one or more of the IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow (only for their PGP/PGPM programs), will not be required to appear for the IIM Jammu final admission round. For these candidates, their Personal Interview (PI) / Written Ability Test (WAT) scores from the above IIMs will be used to derive their PI /WAT scores for IIM Jammu
- Candidates who are not shortlisted and interviewed by any of the above will be required to appear for IIM Jammu final admission – CAP round comprising Personal Interview (PI) & Written Ability Test (WAT) conducted as Common Admission Process by new IIMs.

IIM Jammu to Complete its Rs.450 Crore New Campus shortly
The temporary campus of IIM Jammu is at Government College of Engineering and Technology, Old University Campus, Kanal Road, Jammu, J&K – 180016. IIM Jammu is located in the heart of the city in the university campus.
IIM Jammu has been allotted 200 acres of land situated 40 km from Jammu city on the Katra Road near the IIT Jammu campus. The work on IIM Jammu campus, being constructed at a cost of Rs.450 crore is nearing completion. The State of the Art campus of IIM Jammu is expected to commence operation in 2022.
The youngest among IIMs and set up in 2016, IIM Jammu has seen four batches graduate. It was initially attached to IIM Lucknow. IIM Jammu joined the IIM family as the 20th IIM of the country. It started the 1st batch in August 2016 and since then four batches have already passed out. All activities at IIM Jammu will continue to be mentored by IIM Lucknow till it moves to its permanent campus. During the mentorship period and while IIM Jammu’s own faculty are recruited, faculty members from IIM Lucknow will continue delivering courses at IIM Jammu.
