The MAH MBA CET Eligibility Criteria 2027 to appear in the exam are expected to stay the same as the MAH MBA CET 2026 eligibility. You can take the exam if you meet these MAH MBA CET criteria:
Any discipline is accepted, so arts, commerce, science, engineering and other graduates all meet the Maharashtra CET MBA eligibility. Final-year students can take the exam, but CAP admission requires a passed degree with the required marks, so keep your final mark sheet ready for document verification.

Under the MAH MBA CET Eligibility 2027, minimum marks are expected to be 50% in graduation for Open category candidates and for all candidates from outside Maharashtra, and 45% for Maharashtra's backward-class categories (SC, ST, VJ/DT, NT, OBC, SBC and SEBC), EWS and PwD candidates. The relaxation is for Maharashtra State candidates only: a reserved-category candidate from another state needs 50%.
Reserved-category candidates do not submit certificates with the exam form. Caste, caste validity, non-creamy layer, EWS and PwD certificates are checked at the CAP stage, so the 45% relaxation is confirmed only then.
Under the MAH MBA CET Eligibility, the MAH MBA CET age limit is not prescribed. The 2026 Information Brochure does not mention any minimum or maximum age in the MAH MBA CET exam eligibility or for CAP admission, and none is expected for 2027. Working professionals and candidates who graduated some years ago can apply, as long as they meet the qualification and marks criteria.

MAH MBA CET Eligibility 2027 for admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) depends on your candidature type. The table below shows the qualification and entrance score accepted for each type.

In short, if you are a Maharashtra State candidate, MAH MBA CET is compulsory for state-quota seats; a CAT or CMAT score cannot replace it. Only All India candidates can use a national exam score, and only for the 15% All India seats. Maharashtra State and All India candidates must be citizens of India, and a zero score in the CET does not make you eligible for CAP. The 2026-27 Brochure also lists second-year (lateral entry) MBA/MMS admission for candidates who have passed a four-year B.E., B.Tech, BBA or BMS.
MAH MBA CET Eligibility for Other State Candidates
MAH MBA CET eligibility for other state candidates comes under All India candidature. If you are from outside Maharashtra, you can take MAH MBA CET or apply to CAP with a CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT or GMAT score, but you compete only for the 15% All India seats. You need 50% in graduation even if you belong to a reserved category in your home state, and you pay the Open category exam fee (₹1,500 per attempt in 2026). All test cities are in Maharashtra.

Under the MAH MBA CET Eligibility Criteria, Domicile is not one of the MAH MBA CET criteria to take the exam, but your candidature type decides which seats you can compete for. For MBA/MMS admission, a Maharashtra State candidate must fall under one of five types, and can claim only one type.

Home University matters in non-autonomous institutes, where 70% (Government) or 45.5% (unaided) of seats go to Home University candidates. Under the Maharashtra CET MBA eligibility rules, any Indian candidate who is not a Maharashtra State candidate applies under All India candidature. Other types are Minority, NRI, foreign student/OCI/PIO, and J&K and Ladakh migrant.

MAH MBA CET reservation applies to Maharashtra State candidates on CAP seats. Based on the 2026-27 rules, 60% of these seats are reserved in vertical categories, and EWS candidates get 10% over and above the sanctioned intake.

In unaided minority institutes, at least 51% of CAP seats go to minority candidates, and 15% of CAP seats (excluding the minority quota) go to All India candidates.

The MAH MBA CET admission process starts after the result. Admission happens through CAP, run by the State CET Cell, and your eligibility documents are verified at this stage. Based on 2026, CAP registration is expected in July 2027.
The merit list is based on the percentile score. If two candidates have the same percentile, the higher HSC percentage ranks first, followed by the SSC percentage and then the SSC marks in Science, Mathematics and English.
